The Why Store

Two Beasts

MCA

Long-time John Mellencamp guitarist/co-producer Mike Wanchic co-produces the Why Store on their second major label release. Basically, the Spin Doctors meet Mellencamp, a tight blend of traditional midwestern rockin’ R&B and rockin’ R&B original recipe. The vocal style is like that of the male Crash Test Dummies deep snarl, but a bit lighter in register with a good solid gruff.

I’ve heard music and musicians from a heapin helpin o’ countries all over tarnation, and the Why Store comes off as a very determined rock quintet from Indiana – which is exactly what they are. “Two entities each with it’s own mind and soul collaborate to achieve a common goal. Both fierce and loving they collide then retreat becoming Two Beasts. MCA Records, 70 Universal City Plaza, Universal City, CA 91608
