DG80-112

Digital Combo Amp

Yamaha

“yamaha_combo”

The DG80-112 ($999) provides eight of the world’s greatest amp types along with 128 patches, three digital reverbs and motorized knobs. Guitarists can also take advantage of a digital tape echo – the world’s first model of a legendary tape echo used by world-class guitarists from years past. The sonic quality an tone of the amp is made possible by Yamaha’s Electronic Circuit Modeling (ECM) technology, which provides a stunningly realistic tube emulation. As a digital amp, the DG80-112 adds durability and versatility to a classic foundation. The familiar chickenhead knobs offer the best of both worlds: they function exactly as a user would expect, but respond with motors to conform to memory settings. The control panel uses a clean layout and easy to use intuitive commands. Recording can be handled directly from an XLR output, or use the unit’s digital speaker simulator to perform live and in the studio without mic-ing the amp. The DG180-112 also features a specially designed Celestion 12-inch speaker, MIDI in and out, a send and return for external effects and an optional foot controller.
