Once I sold a nice 1967 Plymouth Belvedere for thirty-five American dollars! I felt sure the transmission was shot when I had been backing up this hill and it slipped out of gear. I had been waiting for something like that to happen, so I just knew that was it and I parked it! About a week after the sale, I saw the guy driving the car. He had fixed the car with some minor repair, of course. And all I had to show for it was a hole in my shoe! I suppose there are some “stupider” episodes, but in the name of human decency, you’ve got to draw the line somewhere! ◼
