Halcyon Yakuza

Kohgen Front

The first LP from this Osaka thrash band. The name of the band is explained in the liner notes: “we want to ride over gangsters with our scooter!” The funniest thing about this slogan is that it is tattooed on lead singer Yoshi’s back! The songs are just what you’d expect – hard motorcycle thrash with a lead singer straight out of the ’80s – high voice, rock choir, hair is apparently teased. Like an Asian Cher meets Pusshead.

Good God!
