Alien Ant Farm

Anthology

New Noize/Dreamworks

I wasn’t expecting Alien Ant Farm to sound like they do. I know that they have been a part of the underground scene on the West Coast for awhile now (with bands like Papa Roach, before they were signed), so I was expecting more of a rap-core sound. Of course, they still do have that nu-metal sound, but their vocals have more of a Maynard from Tool sound to them. There are about three really good tracks on the record, and the rest of them are just kind of there. Not a great album, but one of the better nu-metal records I have heard this year.
