Unwound

Leaves Turn Inside You

Kill Rock Stars

Unwound: a northwest legend, a certain sound. This band keeps moving forwards in their music, keeping a cohesive hold on their own style, but pushing it further into a solid future. This album is solid and heavy, melodic, rhythmic, and it makes you ache. The guitars drive through your soul in moments of purity, then shred your skin, jagged edge and harsher than punk. The vocals rise to a whisper that is too loud, then quietly screaming• it takes you down. There are many musical influences that can be heard in these songs, but what can be heard more is inspiration.
