Cyberfest 2001

Volume 2: Sounds of the Digital Revolution

UBL

For the over 35,000 people who brave the San Francisco-based Cyberfest each year, it’s about dancing. For those who don’t attend, the music and mood are still available! Put on by Coolworld Music, the “Fest” is an open air venue with various activities, artists, vendors and of course, the coolest dance music just about anywhere. The second Cyberfest CD, Volume 2: Sounds of the Digital Revolution makes the fire of dance popularity very evident. The annual festival has been going strong since 1991, and this year they’ve drawn names such as Crystal Method, Keoki, Roni Size, Planet B, Armand Van Helden, and Paul Van Dyk. Also this year, Third Sight (feat. Dufunk) brings some light jungle to the otherwise mostly hardcore dance vibe. If you’re a dance fan and have never made it to Cyberfest, this CD and 20 friends will do the trick. If you’ve been, especially in 2001, this CD will bring back (hopefully) great memories and let you own the music that is responsible for the Digital Revolution (really).
