7th Standard

Fire From The Sky EP

Immortal

A pretty drab affair from these lightweight Sacramento rockers and sometimes Deftones / Papa Roach gigging partners. Fire From The Sky EP is modern rock at its most placid and content. It’s competent stuff, easy on the ear and sometimes rather cozy, but there’s not much on here that really sets 7th Standard apart from everyone else doing the exact same thing. “Embarrassing” offers some nice campfire-rock, while “Sensitive Skin” and “Apologize” would do well on modern rock radio. 7th Standard suffer from a too-safe and complacent approach to music, rendering them pretty pointless, although probably very rich within the next year or two.
