Play Something Sweet
Play something mellow, play something I can sink my teeth into like Jello–Three Dog Night.
Which is my way of saying that after a couple of rants, I need to post about something that I actually enjoy. So here’s a Yahoo! News story about Penn & Teller, who are celebrating their 30th year of working together.
In it, Penn explains their presence in the non-magician series Bullshit! with this pithy quote:
“Magicians are obsessed with the difference between truth and lies, fact and fiction,” Penn said. “We may lie to you on stage, but we don’t do it in real life, and it sort of makes sense for us to expose and uncover lies in real life.”
There’s something in there about writers too, some truth. Or as a wise man once said, and a bright guy with stuff to say once linked, Writers Are Liars, But…
