The Sound of the Crowd

The Wimpy Communists Strike Again

“That is one way to respond to questions about the wisdom of thinking America can transform the entire Middle East by constructing a liberal democracy in Iraq. But if any Americans want to be governed by politicians who short-circuit complex discussions by recklessly imputing racism to those who differ with them, such Americans do not usually turn to the Republican choice in our two-party system.”

That’s from another one of those columns that suggests Bush might be, shall we say, a bit disengaged from reality. I wouldn’t pay it any mind, though, it’s written by that well-known liberal lap dog…George Will.

Say, did you know that George Bush the Senior once said Will was one of the only critics he would never forgive? I think Garry Trudeau was the other, but I’m less sure about that.
