The Sound of the Crowd

Doing the Strip Thing

For the benefit of the one or two of you who may be interested: Comic Effect, which is a comics fanzine for which I wrote a couple of reviews back in the ’90s,* finally has its own website.

Unfortunately they don’t have much in the way of writing samples up there, but if you like comics, I can heartily recommend ordering an issue or two. If you want one with my writing in it (why?), I think my favorite is the long Batman review in issue 19. The piece on The Flash and Mark Waid in the issue just prior isn’t too dusty either.

*you remember the ’90s, when the US was liked around the world, we weren’t at war, and actually had some competence in the oval office, which makes up for a lot of interns.
