You know you’re missing out on something

Well, the ABC reunion proved to be a bit of a fraud. As expected, Mark White chose not to participate–I was wrong, BTW, he’s not a Buddist monk, he’s a holistic healer (not exactly better from my POV). And niether did the sax player.

This made the “reunion” concert a performance of Martin Fry, drummer David Palmer and a bunch of studio musicans plus Mark Beggs from Kajagoogoo yet, on bass.

In other words, it was the kind of “in name only” show that Fry’s been touring with through the ’90s. Given his love for Motown groups of the ’60s, and that this is exactly what happened to many of them, I suppose there’s a certain symmetry to that.

Shame, tho.
