The Sound of the Crowd

“A friend”

A feature article in Backstage West, a performing and fine arts magazine, has been published about my friend Corey’s “Quiet Please” project. As you’ll remember, this is an adaptation of the late 1940’s radio show he’s directing for his theater company, Sacred Fools, in southern California.

You can read a transcript of the article on the Sacred Fools site, on the Quiet, Please page.

Also as previously mentioned here, I’m the friend referenced in the piece who sent Cor a link to the script a couple of years ago. I’m also the frustrated and bitter man who fucking hates living in Washington State and being too ‘po to go see the show, but we need not get into that here.

Corey’s show opens tomorrow night at 10, and I can at least send him some good thoughts from here. I may also put up links to the scripts and/or places you can download the original shows, as you really should hear them. They’re creeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeepy.

Not as creepy as Bush packing his cabinet with friends and sycophants, but…that’s another entry.
