Hilary ‘08: A case for?
I’m not saying I agree with all of this, but it is worth discussing. I’m torn on the issue of whether I think Hilary would be a good candidate, but I don’t think her best shot is the “Conservatives would spend all their time talking about how evil she is” one.
Partly because I don’t think the reverse is what helped Bush. I think the fact that Kerry et all failed to illustrate the “progressive” case against him is what helped Bush.
My point is, people who hate Hilary hate Hilary because of who she is, people who hate Bush hate him because of what he’s done. There’s a big difference, but unfortunately that distinction was never well-drawn.
