The Bad News & The Good News
Former American Pie and Buffy star Alyson Hannigan will not be joining Jennifer “Lucy” Hewitt and Ed O’Neil on ABC’s upcoming comedy series “In The Game” after all. The good news is, she’ll be landing on “Mars” instead.
“Veronica Mars,” that is. I could have had a scoop on this if only a certain member of my “fan base” was as willing to exploit friendships as, say, I am.
As an interesting side note, Hannigan’s role in the Hewitt/O’Neil sitcom is being taken by Sara Gilbert, with whom Hannigan worked on an early episode of “Roseanne.” And who I thought might have had an outside chance in hell of making the token lesbian character Kennedy work on the last season of Buffy.
