From the Sky

Neurodisc Records

Another relaxing and vaguely spiritual disc of new age jazzy audio – just what we need. You have your slightly dissonant background chorus, a strong yet non-danceable rhythm and lots of noodle-y chimes and piano stuff. Disney plays this stuff so you stay calm while waiting in those endless lines. Yet, it’s not a bad thing, and veteran artist Ryan Farish has been cranking this out to an appreciative audience for some time. You might not know it, but he’s the guy that scored the Weather Channel’s Storm Series. Farish got started by offering his music as MP3 downloads, and he’s selling iPod downloads from his own web site. He is thorough, relaxing and fully in tune with the future of digital music distribution. My kind of guy.
