Long Live Oi!

Knock Out

With the exception of Shonen Knife, I’ve heard precious little Japanese punk until this disk came across my desk. Lucky me.

The Japanese may have built their wealth and power by taking good ideas and raising them to the next higher plane, but punk music is not one of their success stories. This stuff fairly sucks. These guys tackle punk rock the same way a nunnery would approach the making of a gangsta rap album: superficial and with no heart. They should stick to stereos and automobiles.
