Am in the House/Spotlight on Agonython

Fat Boy

A combination of two albums? A convenient grafting of two half-albums? Flap’s unique style, as musically unboxed as it is tonally boxy, streaks through the twenty-two tracks here, meandering through all compositions with an acoustic guitar strapped to each foot and a clattering platter full of spilling drumware. The timing is impeccable, the harmonies can be deliciously off – unequivocally intentional – yet the sound of fifty-point words rolling off in smooth syllables from the twelve strings and two sticks is not unlike… Flap.
