Iced Earth

Days of Purgatory

Century Media

This album was put out for the older metal heads in the crowd. This Tampa-based band has specialized in the thrash/speed metal sound of the Eighties and stuck with it for this album. There is not a lot of money to be made in underground metal, so any band that can put out an album that does not comply with the current metal trend must be given credit. They obviously do this for the love of the music and it shows. Iced Earth has released a great album reminiscent of the days of Eighties metal, and they have great looking devil women on the album cover! This album was made for those of us that remember the Eighties, and the others that might be curious. Check out any track.
