June Panic

The Fall of Atom: a thesis on entropy

Secretly Canadian

If you can get past the similarity between June Panic’s voice and that of Kermit the Frog, then this is an excellent and expansive 8th album from this Fargo, SD native. And in fact, I believe I have finally accepted June Panic’s voice and started to delve into the innocent, love-starved, and stir-crazed mind of this pop star. Though when I say pop star here, I’m talking about that kind of pop star who would rather rock out in the solitude of his garden shed than in front of the adoring masses. A song by Smog comes to mind, in which Prince is spending grueling hour after hour in his studio until he can get that guitar solo right, for you see June Panic plays everything on all of his albums (I think) and labors over his art, which for about 6 years very few people heard.
