Agoraphobic Nosebleed

Honky Reduction

Relapse

Apparently, this 26-song album is, in fact, an EP and not an LP. 26 songs and it’s not even 30 minutes long?! How can this be?

Formula: take one part AC, and plenty of hate and there you have it. Extreme music that’s seriously pushing the envelope and redefining “extreme.” Once again, I’m proven wrong about music not being scary any more. ANb is a two-piece, comprising one-time AC guitarist Scott Hull (“Hullhammer” – great metal nickname) and some twisted degenerate named Jay Randall on “vocals” – there is no drummer. Their prime directive is nothing short of raping the worlds’ ears with their full-on extreme metal double-drill press of hatred and disgust.

The focus of their songs is four-fold: hate, killing useless people, legalized torture, and hate. A random sampling of 26 songs on Honky Reduction should provide proof, e.g., “Polished Turd,” “Die and Get the Fuck Out of the Way,” “The House of Feasting,” “Clawhammer and an Ether Bag,” “Burned Away in Sleep,” “Town Apart by Dingos,”” and “Hat Full of Shit.” Any one of those is suitable for terrorizing the neighborhood on a calm summer night. Although my favorite song is “Two Shits to the Moon.”

Fear this. Relapse, P.O. Box 251, Millersville, PA 17751; http://www.relapse.com
