Nuzion Big Band

Hallelujah

Third Eye

With a sense of discordancy that often verges on the beautifully melodic, Hallelujah! begins. Nuzion big band has something to with Atlanta’s famed Gold Sparkle Band, but what exactly constitutes the connection I don’t recall; my unfamiliarity with GSB doesn’t help much, either. Regardless, there’s plenty in here to entertain, as the Big Band powers through a set of fantastic jazz-like pieces. Using traditional jazz arrangements with an energy unrivaled by many rock counterparts, Nuzion Big Band hauls through Hallelujah like a night train with a full load of gravel – nigh unstoppable. Very cool. Third Eye Records, 1653-A McLendon Ave., Atlanta, GA 30307
