Sick Dick & the Volkswagens

Sick Dick & the Volkswagens

Sex, drugs, and rock and roll. This seven-song sampler of garage-y punk has something for everyone, and something to offend just about everyone. With songs with titles like “Love Camp #7” (a Sixties sexploitation film), “Women Are Evil,” and “Teenage Prostitute,” SD & the VW’s are definitely carrying on the punk rock tradition of trying to shock with bad taste (remember the Pistols song about Belsen?) and political incorrectness. However, at the same time it’s done with a great deal of humor (from “Women Are Evil:” “All women are evil, all women are bad. If you don’t believe me, go and ask your dad!”), and the music kicks serious behind. Do whatever is necessary to get this. Now.
