Shaun Ryder and Danny Saber, formerly of Happy Mondays and Sabres of Paradise respectively, got together as Black Grape. Stupid, their sophomore effort, sounds more like Oasis than their old bands, at least this time around. Still, it’s a ballsy hybrid of dance and rock that is ripe for young ears. “Get Higher,” the opening track, doesn’t hold back and lets the LP run its course, which is indeed a good thing. Not just for the college crowd.
