King Sound Quartet

The Get Down Imperative 12”

In The Red

Texas living legend Tim Kerr (of ground-breaking Big Boys fame) and friends kick out the lo-fi R&B rave ups. Side one sports five tracks… one even has a harmonica part. KSQ sound similar to Steve Turners’ SuperElectro label or Mudhoney’s brief side project The Monkeywrench. On the flipside is a cover of Sun Ra’s “Space Is The Place.” Buy it for that alone, then dig into side one for the dirty blues. Potent. In The Red, 2627 E. Strong Pl., Anaheim, CA 92806
