Scandal, Controversy & Romance
Almo
This is garage punk-rock at its finest. The music is full of New York attitude, crunchy guitars, and grrrrl snears. These three gals, plus a guy on drums, nicely blend raunchy rock, kick-ass punk, and ’60s retro into a fresh, cruising-with-the-top-down assortment of sexy tunes.
The title track is exceptionally retro; it should be played only through the dashboard speakers of a ‘64 Chevy convertible. “Sorrow” is by far the best track; one can almost hear Mike Ness crooning it from the stage.
