Ron Levy’s Wild Kingdom

Greaze is What’s Good

Cannonball

This is as funky as lite jazz can get. Like a cheesy Jimmy Smith rockin’ the B3 organ, Mr. Levy has produced yet another fine-tuned bluesy lounge lite pop funk sound.

Easy listening? No, but if you’re into funk and rare groove, this will definitely sound white-bred. However, if you’re the typical lite jazz fan this might be what you’re looking for to help you rock your funky soul without getting your hands dirty. Although Mr. Levy is a proficient and soulful player he probably sells more records by keeping things low key. The music is nice, doesn’t thrill me. It just isn’t grimy enough, despite the title of this bad rabbit.

So if you want some fun tunes with a lite funk sound, then dig on this. Cannonball Records, 1660 Lade Drive West, Chanhassen, MN 55317
