The Chinkees are the latest band from Mike Park, former Skankin’ Pickle conspirator and mastermind behind the Bruce Lee Band. Mike has a knack for writing smooth, ultra-catchy ska/ska-punk songs filled with personality and character, and this holds true once again in his latest incarnation. The delivery is different as he’s playing with different people, but you basically have an idea of what to expect. Throw in some keyboards, too. If you liked the previous stuff he was involved with, odds are quite good you’ll like this as well. Eleven songs, with “Not Your Pet” being my favorite. _www.asianmanrecords.com_
