Chris Osburn

A Beira Del Sereno EP

The first two tracks on this give the impression that we’re in for a Guided By Voices ride, with low-fidelity sounds and shaky melodies that stand strong despite a wobbling appearance. As the EP evolves, Osburn proves himself to be a little less odd than that, though the story told in the liner notes is far more interesting than you’d expect. Introspective, full of meaning and mostly acoustic, A Beria Del Sereno sticks out for its honesty and depth.
