James Hardway

Easy Is A Four Letter Word

Shadow

James Hardway (not his real name), a man who has turned his body into a veritable oriental canvas, is also an impressive purveyor of hip, smooth and jazzy adult fusion. He is becoming the man responsible for demonstrating the American seduction of the new British standard, namely drum and bass. “Easy” finds our man James cozied up with the likes of saxist/flutist Theo Gordon and bass boy John Edwards who, collectively, open with techno inspired orchestrations that swiftly morph into the first of many d and b transgressions. Mr. Gordon’s horn work is the stuff that should convince Kenny G to quit the biz and pursue a more lucrative career as a Gumby impersonator. For maximum enjoyment, serve this musical delight with an ice cold Stoli martini (straight up with an extra olive). Shadow Records, 111 E. 14th St. #334, New York, NY 10003
