Spirit Act

Gutmusic

It is becoming harder and harder for a talented singer/songwriter to stand out from the sea of mediocrity that has poured out of CD pressing plants in the last four years. Garrigues does so easily, with an engaging voice, touching lyrics and original arrangements. The opening “Truth” easily trumps any single by the crop of “independent-yet-vulnerable” females that dominates radio these days. The other four tracks on here are equally strong; Garrigues’ talents are unquestionable, and hopefully someone will pick up on this soon and sweep those weak sirens off the charts.
