I’m sure the duo of Gyspy Eden and Reno LaGrande kill on stage – this record is a collection of eleven fakebook classics (starting with “Cry Me a River” and ending with “As Time Goes By”), and they seem to have these tracks down pat. Still, in crystalline digital sound from my stereo speakers, the effort seems a bit flat. Bypass the disc and go to the live show; be sure to bring a date.
