Peek-A-Boo

Silver Scooter return with their second album of fluid indie pop that again leans towards the melancholy side of things. It’s subtle, because it can be uplifting as well, but there’s a pervasive atmosphere of longing that runs through this, as it did their last album. Perhaps that’s one of the reasons their songs won’t leave my head, because there are so many happy/sad emotions woven up in them. “So Long” in particular is a favorite nuisance of my head.

Twelve songs from a talented three-piece apparently well-versed in the art of songwriting. A quality listen all the way through.
