Popped Sense Ability

Hacked-Up Grey Construction Paper Records

This band is uniquely sloppy and noisy. Both discs that I have received from them have been suitably wrapped in hacked-up grey constuction paper. I call it construction paper, but it’s actually just card stock; but construction paper is a better description. This latest one had a sloppy, handwritten note (appropriately also written on that special stock, but carved from a different momma-piece, as it didn’t match any of the chunks missing from the cover) that said, “Sorry for the delay, but I wanted to avoid giving you another slap-together. Here’s another slap-together.” This stuff is like a mixture between Pink Floyd and Ween. Pretty horrible, but in a smart way, and plenty of layers-deep. Fun.
