The Moffatts

Chapter I: A New Beginning

Capitol

In an attempt to reach my inner-teenybopper, I agreed to take on the Moffatts CD, Chapter I: A New Beginning .

Homogenized and pasteurized to go down easy with no aftertaste, this CD is nothing more than a collection of pink bubblegum flavored teenybopper “luv” songs. (The lyrical genius shining through with song titles like “Until You Loved Me,” “Love,” “Girl of My Dreams,” “Written All Over My Heart” – one of the titles is actually “Sayin’ I (heart) You.” No, really.) While the four Canadian brothers that make up the Moffatts are cute (especially Bob,) and slightly less annoying than Hanson, they’re a bit young for my taste, and I’d probably wear all of them out anyway. I can’t wait till they become angry young men, they’ll probably be cuter and more interesting.
