Good Riddance

Operation Phoenix

Fat Wreck Chords

These Californians have more melodic hardcore for your ears. Similar to previous Good Riddance efforts, Operation Phoenix has fast songs with vocals found in singy/screamy land. The lyrics are sometimes personal and other times political in nature. Lots of samples between songs makes for an interesting listen (especially the one with everybody’s favorite, Noam Chomsky). From what I understand, these fellows support a vegan lifestyle and don’t use any drugs, which is cool by me. What is even cooler (more cool?), is that they donate a portion of the proceeds to People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. So, if you like that Fat sound and you like animals, then buy this one and make yourself happy.
