Sounds from the Gulf Stream

K

Featuring members of Heavenly – key members, even – Marine Research fills in the drab void left by just about any depressing occurrence with bright sunny melodies and choruses that cradle your ears like warm muffs in wintertime. The bouncy “Queen B” does wonders with a plucky guitar, bumpy bass and ringing bells, making me stop whatever I’m doing and nod my head along to Amelia Fletcher’s girlish voice. Pure pop perfection.
