Quasar
21 Hours
Superstition
21 Hours was built by Holland natives Greta Van Even and Daphne with support from an apt cast including drummer Leon Klaus, who shares the stage with the duo while on tour. Quasar has a long established discography spanning nearly nine years and many line up changes. The current roster has been riding the sound waves circa 1993. 21 Hours can be tedious and repetitious at times, but almost always pushes through the doldrums with controlled intensity. “Travel Light” and “Omega Airport” along with “Hello” are my picks, while “House” seems to be Quasar’s fave because they released it on 12” vinyl. Quasar is Holland’s premier house theologian, with Amsterdam as their temple and thousands dancing at their altar. Communion beckons, don’t you say?
