American Pie

Soundtrack

Universal

Because of the nature of the compilation disc, there are usually a couple of cuts that are acceptable fair for the bedroom bootleg tape or nowadays the bootleg CD mix. The American Pie soundtrack does not disappoint with at least a couple of good cuts. It doesn’t promise anything fancy, just good ol’ fashioned rock. Gone is the soundtrack full of electronica, but in its place is something quite refreshing. Third Eye Blind’s “New Girl” is entertaining enough to tempt the listener to move forward to track two or three. Tonic, Blink 182, Sugar Ray, Goldfinger are but some of the talent buried here. Catchy songs with singable vocals and a feel good attitude = sequel. YIKES!!!!
