Total Chaos

In God We Kill

Cleopatra

Spikey-haired mohawk city, that’s what this is. Non-stop mohawk, anti-mom & dad punk rock. Play it loud and play it proud!

All right, enough of that, what a weird album. But first the album cover must be discussed. Gracing the sleeve is a portrait of a crucified Jesus while marching in the background are a bunch of KKK dudes with burning crosses, a grinning Satan and a bunch of “Christian” Identity soldiers who, unfortunately look like Vikings, but since that’s not possible, I’ll assign them to the Teutonic Knights. The message clearly is that an awful lot of blood gets spilled in the he name of religion, I reckon.

Back to the songs, the title track is full of anthemic punk rock with some blazing, upper atmosphere solos, a very mid-1990s sound. But most of the songs are really melodic, gritty-vocaled Oi!, Full of vocal harmonies balanced by tight rocking metal solos, and kind of introspective, like “Running With the Youth,” and “Never Give Up.” “Take You Down,” “The Death of All Nazi Scum,” “Decay of a Wasteland” (more metal than punk), and “Feel My Rage” are, as one would expect, raging, while “Electric Lady” is a funk/rap/metal mix. In that order. “Love Song” is exactly that, albeit it’s fast punk rock, but it’s really a “not love” song, but at least it’s the thought that counts. Nineteen songs in all, including a cover of the Exploited’s “I Believe In Anarchy”
