Vegas De Milo

Before it Gets Old

Starving Cowboy

“Vanity Killed the Radio Star” intone Vegas De Milo, amidst the incredibly catchy “doot doot” chorusing. Hope it’s not one of those self-fulfilling prophecies – the band is so ready to emanate from radios around the country. This San Francisco five-piece assembles pop anthems that embody what little is right about “alternative rock” in these times (rhythmic guitars, introspective lyrics and the cleverly-crafted hook) without dragging in the overblown bombastics that make it all sound like sugar-coated plastic. Get in on the ground floor on this one.
