Pain Jerk/Bastard Noise

Split

Alternative Tentacles

This isn’t a split 7” in the traditional sense. Each band contributes a track on the A-side, and the B-side is a collaboration. Pain Jerk offers forth an unusually rhythmic noise piece called “Face Down in a Pool of Piss,” with lots of high squelching frequencies, making it sound a bit more German in style than Japanese. Loud and crunchy, just the way I like it. Bastard Noise has another static track with more shortwave noise. Boring. The flip side would be a great dense work if it weren’t for BN’s laughable cookie monster growls. This one had promise, but ended up disappointing.
