The Roots

Come Alive

MCA

I don’t like much rap, but Philadelphia’s the Roots rise above all the crap that has been associated with that music. This live album of some of their best songs features a stage-full of talented musicians playing in some exotic locations like Switzerland and Philadelphia. And the incredible Rahzel is featured on many songs, sounding like anything he wants (turntables, alarm clocks, whatever). It rocks.
