That strange land between rock and space, that space between your brain and mind. This music fits in there. Sonic Youth touched at times, stained by the ghost of Slint at others. Fuzzy math rock, loungegazing indie pop. Can’t tell if they’re from England or Chicago. Cocktail lounge smooth jazz breaks into heavy psychedelic pounding chaos, and then effortlessly grooves back into finger snapping rhythm. This is the kind of music that would take your breath away during a live performance, as they move everywhere. Heavier than the weather, lighter than the rain. A sometimes strange fusion of bebop and rock, taken to the point of no return. Another of those bands that have been inspired by some very fine artists, but have progressed to a point where they can use those inspirations to create their own pathway through these melodic waters.
