Nightmares On Wax

The Sound of N.O.W

Matador

This is the first release from this UK camp since 1998’s neo-classic Carboot Soul. This EP actually contains only one new track from Nightmares on Wax, and remixes by the Herbaliser, Alex Gopher, Rae and Christian, and DJ Food.

“Keep On” is the only new song here, and features vocals by none other than De La Soul. The track has a real Stakes Is High vibe to it, and might offer a clue as to what De La has in store for us on their long awaited new album, due to be released in the near future. The disc also includes Alex Gopher’s sultry disco-downtempo remix of “Finer”, Rae and Christian’s turntablist rendition of “What I’m Feelin’,” and an abstract drum n’ bass remix of “Dreddoverboard” by Ninja Tune pimp daddies DJ Food. This is a real teaser for both the new Nightmares On Wax album, and the new De La Soul – and by the sound of this, both should be immaculate.
