The G-Note

http://www.thegnote.com

My fave Web site has to be the G-Note. It is devoted to the Gainesville music scene, and has links to the Web pages of Gainesville bands, from the ickiest mainstream and cover bands to the coolest and most idiosyncratic of underground indie and punk bands. The G-Note also has reviews of local releases, a show calendar, interviews with local music luminaries, a “Gainesville scene” page giving updates on the ever-changing band rosters and new release info, and a message board where you can contact the local music community at large. In short, everything you’d need to get the 411 on a thriving local music scene. Highly recommended – I visit daily.
