Music From and Inspired by Mission: Impossible 2

Hollywood

I haven’t seen the movie yet, but if this high testosterone soundtrack is any indication of the direction of the movie, I’m sure I’ll like it. I love Limp Bizkit’s rendition of the Mission: Impossible theme. It’s a wickedly dynamic, and a moody piece of art. Napster-haters, Metallica, are on here, too, with “I Disappear.” I’m hooked on the cool bluesy solo. Other highlights include Rob Zombie staying true to form on “Scum of the Earth,” and the Pimps’ knock ‘em down for the count with “Rocket Science,” by far the best guitar driven song I have heard in years. Unbelievable riffage all the way through the song.

If you like what you’re hearing on the local rock station, you’ll definitely enjoy this soundtrack. This is a mainstream compilation designed to please the masses, and it even includes a track from Tori Amos.
