Dusty Trails

Dusty Trails

Atlantic

I’ve been into Luscious Jackson since I first heard In Search of Manny. I’ve been into Vivian Trimble ever since I first saw the band’s video for “City Song”. When she and Jill Cunniff spun off into the Kostars, her voice and musical savvy astounded me. Recently Viv joined forces with the sublime Josephine Wiggs, formerly of the Breeders and Josephine Wiggs Project, to create Dusty Trails. Trimble and Wiggs have cultivated a sound straight out of a European movie that is too cool to actually exist. This is one of those rare records that is not only a great listen, but it also sparks the listener’s imagination. A nice mix of instrumentals and vocals, with French and lyrics and guest vocals by Emmylou Harris populate the world created by Dusty Trails.
