This is All We’ve Learned About Living

Champ

Truly beautiful, harmonizing, alt.country-touched melancholy that bursts into a full ache of sound. Slightly reminding me of the shack rock sound, a term coined by Aaron of Gardener and Seaweed fame, and listening to this CD, I find myself comparing it more than once to Gardener. The bright guitars, the vocals that float, not always completely serious, through the rhythm. There is a sadness here, but it’s that home on the range kinda sadness. It’s not giving up… it’s searching for a home.
