I couldn’t have said it better myself.This may very well be the high-water mark of the upcoming porno/synth/funk genre, given the many tendrils the sound is extending around today’s music and the overall high octane quality of this recording’s selection. Mains Ignition’s “Testify” lights the burner with a whoosh with a slow and stuttering beat, sounding like pimp swaggering through a physics lab. Other tracks heighten the disjointed feel of greasy funk and future-is-now. Call it what you will – it’s good stuff.
